چکیده
Applying the technique of characteristic functions developped for one-dimensional regular surfaces (curves) with compact support, we obtain the distribution of hitting probabilities for a wide class of finite membranes on square lattice. Then we generalize it to multi-dimensional finite membranes on hypercubic lattice. Basing on these distributions, we explicitly construct the Brownian self-transport operator which governs the Lapla-cian transfer. In order to verify the accuracy of the distribution of hitting probabilities , numerical analysis is carried out for some particular membranes.

Using the recent results of Siebert and Tian about the holomorphicity of genus 2 Lefschetz fibrations with irreducible singular fibers, we show that any genus 2 Lefschetz fibration becomes holomorphic after fiber sum with a holomorphic fibration.

We give potential theoretic estimates for the probability that a set A contains a double point of planar Brownian motion run for unit time. Unlike the probability for A to intersect the range of a Markov Process, this cannot be estimated by a capacity of the set A. Instead, we introduce the notion of a capacity with respect to two gauge functions simultaneously. We also give a polar decompositi...

This is a short exposition—mostly by way of the toy models " double logarithm " and " triple logarithm " —which should serve as an introduction to the article [3] in which we establish a connection between multiple polylogarithms, rooted trees and algebraic cycles.
